This 2-day workshop is to make EITHER the foraging backpack OR the shoulder bag from willow. Please state your choice when ordering.
More suitable if you have some experience of willow weaving (or attended any of our other willow workshops). This workshop is in Carmarthen at Oriel Myrddin Gallery and runs on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 November 2019.
You will learn how to put the base together, add upright stakes, weave the sides with 3-rod wale and French rand weaves and put on a border.
10.30 – 4.30pm ish on both days
£90 including willow, but excluding straps. You can bring your own or purchase leather straps on the day.
Please bring your own lunch.
About the tutor: Justine Burgess of West Wales Willows.
Justine originally trained as an engineer, and worked in the charity and education sectors, before becoming a partner in West Wales Willows with her husband, Alan. On their smallholding in Carmarthenshire, they grow around 250 varieties of willow and Justine weaves with willow and teaches a wide range of workshops in Wales.
