G214 Salix Hybrid 1 – fast growing, ideal for sticks/fuel

Description

A fast growing willow that should produce 8-12′ in it’s first year if the growing conditions are good.  Good for windbreaks (plant a double row), living willow structures and bio fuel if grown on a 3-4 year rotation.

Green bark and catkins for pollinators in the spring.

When dried, Ideal for use as sticks in the garden, uprights in plant supports/wigwams or as hoops in baskets

Sold in bundles of 10 x 10″/25cm cuttings (approx size)

Plant in rows 50 cm apart for windbreaks/coppicing

Plant in rows 1m apart for short rotational coppicing (SRC)
