Description
Also known as Prairie willow. A pretty ornamental willow that is quite a vigorous grower (Approx 6-9′ in the first year).
The leaves have delicate pink veins
Has been used for wide hedging, erosion control and stabilising river/stream banks.
Synonyms:
Salix tristis
Salix occidentalis
NB: Not a weaving willow as it’s stems have an interesting wave to them.
