Description
Native to Northern Japan, Salix mytabeana is a lovely variety of willow with attractive very pale pink catkins in the spring.
Fast growing, it usually reaches heights of 6-8′ in the first year and will achieve 6-7m if left to grow.
While not suitable for basket making, the thick stems can be used as hoops or sticks and we also use it in living willow structures and hedging.
